Lemme just say this. For all of those people who are comparing this to "good" movies, remember that tastes for such things vary from person to person.

I've never felt luckier to live in Denver. Ink, filmed in Denver, had one of its first screenings tonight and despite going in with no particular expectations, I was completely floored. Nothing about the film indicates that it is a lower-budget, independent film, except perhaps its freedom to pursue such a surprising and ambitious concept.

The Book of Love, quite interesting? well to be honest no it is not.

After the atrocious family films Spy Kids 3D : Game Over and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, I was not interested in watching Shorts, another independent family film directed by Robert Rodriguez.However, a look at the cast revealed the presence of some competent actors (James Spader, William H. Macy, Leslie Mann and Kat Dennings), so I decided to risk myself and watch this movie.To my huge surprise, Shorts resulted to be an excellent family film which is sympathetic and hugely entertaining, thanks to the skillful performances from the young cast and Rodriguez's irreverent screenplay.

This movie hit the spot. I worked a very busy 13 hour waiter shift and all I was looking for was to wind down, drink a couple of 40s and relax over a funny no-brainer starring some hot chicks and a few LOL moments. Check.

There were a couple of great twists and turns, the gore was jacked up to a fantastic level of brutal extremity (easily beating the rather tame 5th installment), and most importantly, I, plus everyone in the theatre had a ball with it.

I just watched this movie and thought go on Chris get on IMDb (for the first time) and review this movie. Where do I start.
